I am so glad God is patient with us. I’ve been worried lately about some people very dear to me, people who are struggling in this life, in their faith. My heart has been so heavy, so burdened. I find myself crying out to God…and simply crying so often. I grasp the pain this life…
You see, the journey is about God’s faithfulness and revealing the true condition of our hearts.
I wonder why some people find their faith solidified in the face of extreme trials while others see their faith wither and die.
We are children on the one true King, the King of kings, the ruler of heaven and earth! And we have Him living inside of us! We must embrace our identity as the chosen ones.
None of us likes the pain and trials of this world. We don’t rejoice when life gets hard, when we are struck with illness or the loss of a loved one. We don’t look forward to these painful circumstances that are part of the human experience.
I see redemption so clearly in so many ways. I see God’s hand carrying us through such painful days to bring healing. I see the God who loves us so well reflected in every smile, in every face.
I don’t pretend to be an expert or to know everything about healing or growth in the spiritual realm, but I can tell you some techniques that helped me tremendously in my journey toward wholeness.
Do you remember the show Land of the Lost? It had those creepy sleestaks wandering the land and it was on every Saturday morning. Oh. I couldn’t even be in the room if that show was on the TV!
Give us a vision of the beauty you want to bring out of our broken lives.
But when I truly reached that place where Jesus was all I had, I found He was more than enough.
